Antinori's Vermentino Guado al Tasso was obtained from 100% Vermentino grapes grown on the Guado al Tasso estate which extends for 320 kilometres, in the heart of the prestigious Bolgheri DOC area. After the harvest, the grapes were destemmed and subjected to soft pressing. The alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a constant temperature of 16°C, preceding the assembly of the various batches. Antinori's Vermentino Bolgheri DOC Guado al Tasso was bottled in January.
VERMENTINO GUADO AL TASSO ANTINORI: TASTING
The Vermentino Bolgheri DOC Guado al Tasso by Antinori announces itself in the glass with a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, aromas of yellow pulp fruit and spring flowers emerge which combine with citrus scents and balsamic notes of Mediterranean herbs. On the sip it reveals a delicately fruity and herbaceous taste, supported by a delicate freshness and an intriguing minerality that persists in the finish. At the table it pairs well with fresh cheeses, vegetable-based dishes as well as delicious seafood recipes based on white fish, crustaceans and molluscs.
The Antinori Family has been dedicated to wine production for more than six hundred years: from when, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori became part of the Florentine Art of the Vinattieri. Throughout its long history, through 26 generations, the family has always managed this business directly with innovative and sometimes courageous choices but always maintaining respect for traditions and for the territory. Tradition, passion and intuition were the driving qualities that led the Antinori Marquises to establish themselves as one of the main Italian producers of high quality wines.
